Shree Mahatma Basaveshwar Credit Souhard Sahakari Nyt. Is started on 18th Feb 1991 in Nipani city with the sole idea of giving service to the public at large financially and socially. Those days there were very few financial co.operative in our area. It was an opportunity to bring people of different class and creed together. To start with the help of religion was taken but now it has changed its motives and religion is no ban for the progress of Society. At present ours if a leading Society in Nipani with the deposits crossing one hundred crores. One can say Mahatma Basaveshwar Society is an ideal Society in this area and is an inspiration to others. Seeing our progress and development of many other cooperative societies from Karnataka & Maharashtra have come to Nipani and they are doing their business. Lingayats are experts and well known for their business acumen. To start with all lingayats came together Dr. Chandrakant Bashetti Kurbetti a medical person took a lead and was a founder chairman for six years in the beginning who guided and laid the foundation stone of the society. He gave the direction to the Society. He selected nine other members from the Lingayat reputed families in Nipani and was given the directorship. The Society was inaugurated in the presence his holiness Shri Shivalingeshwar Mahaswamiji of Nidasosi, central minister Late. Shri. B.Shankarandji, Shri. Prabhakar Kore (M.P. and Chairman of K.L.E. Society), Shri. Prakash Hukkeri (M.P), Shri. S.R.Sidnal Ex. M.P. and many other prominent leaders in the community. On the opening day deposit collection was seven lakhs and ordinary member were five hundres. Now the ordinary members are two thousand. Ours is the only Society in Nipani which has 17 Branches and all are doing very well and giving their yeomen services to the public. Especially the poor and low class people and farmers.

Vision Statement

Every human being on the earth owes something to the society. He is depending upon others for his survival so he has to have gratitude towards others and has to be grateful to all. He owes something to the society. With this idea in mind I took an interest in starting a co-operative Society in Nipani.

I had taken to medical practice with sole idea of giving my life and service to others.when we started the society in the name of Shri Mahatma Basaveshwar Co –Op Credit Society in the year 1991 with deposit of Rs.7,and 250 members only. Nipani being small place situated on the Karnataka and Maharashtra border area where the industrial growth is very slow we took little more time to reach the present state of progress. Now we have 28+1 branches around nipani including in belgaum Smart city. The present growth is very fast . CBS(core banking solution) is implemented and souhard society will be converted in to multistate and multipurpose. Many new branches will be started in Karnataka i.e. Hublli, Dharwad, Davanagiri, Bangalore, etc in Maharashtra also new branches will be started in the cities like Kolhapur, Pune, Mumbai, Solapur and surrounding villages.

We follow the principles and teachings of "LORD BASAVESHWARA THE VISHWAGURU" by giving importance to each and every creature on this earth.

"KAYAK VE KAILASA" Work is our workship our motto and we strictly follow this principles. This triumph of thr society is because of this principles. People joined our society with faith and confidence.our servicesare unique and professional and hospitable.

I say Basaveshwar souhard family because whole social and financial development of the society and people in all respects isour aim. Only finance cannot change the society.

We have to take care of housing, health, environment, education and humanity. we give atmost importance to the humanity and social values like Love, We believe in democracy and cooperative movement. Each board member of the head office take part in the decision making. We respect to our Indian culture, elders and Gurus, Peace, Brotherhood amongst different casts and creed, Truthfulness, Nonviolence and global village. And upliftment of poor females, poor farmers, labour. We are concentrating more on youth because they are pillers of the nation, they are honest hard working and have great vision.

As I said social obligation and duty that consideration made us donate generously to the needy people in this area. Ashram residence for “Siddheshwar Swamiji” was constructed by us with major donation. Akkamahadevi Kalyan Mandap was built with our help. Scholarship are given to the student regularly. Free medical campus arranged and free surgical and medical treatment is given to the poor patients "Kittur Rani Channamma" statu erected in nipani with financial help.
